Support the Mission

Helping Country Children Access Care Locally

Dusty’s Mission is a community fundraising campaign created to support children and families who face long delays and long-distance travel to access paediatric specialists.

Through Little Wings and its Medical Wings program, specialist doctors can be flown into regional towns, reducing pressure on families and helping children receive care closer to home.

The Mission

Dusty, a 12-year-old from Warren NSW, is walking from Warren to Canberra to raise awareness and funds for children across regional communities.

His goal is to help raise $1 million so more paediatricians can visit country towns and provide face-to-face healthcare for children who should not be left waiting because of where they live.

Why It Matters

Less Travel

Families can access more care locally instead of regularly travelling long distances to major hospitals.

Earlier Support

Children can receive diagnosis, treatment and guidance sooner, during important developmental years.

Stronger Communities

Regional clinics also support local healthcare workers through training, connection and shared knowledge.

About Little Wings

Little Wings provides free air and ground transport for seriously ill children and their families across regional and rural communities.

Medical Wings extends that mission by flying paediatricians and specialist healthcare teams into country towns, helping deliver local clinics in partnership with hospitals, medical centres and community services.

Medical Wings Impact

  • 109 clinics delivered in 12 months
  • 3000 children supported
  • 200 healthcare workers trained
  • 100% clinic attendance reported
  • 30% Indigenous participation

The Walk

Dusty will travel from Warren to Canberra across regional NSW, stopping through towns including Trangie, Narromine, Parkes, Cowra, Boorowa, Yass and Murrumbateman.
